2015.01.07 Tegoshi on Honma Dekka!

At first looking at the preview I thought it was just Tegoshi being as obnoxious as ever. However, as I actually watched the show I realized some of the things he talked about were very relevant and he really had something to say on top of being a spoiled brat.

The segment was basically celebrities sharing their problems and the experts panel trying to help them with advice. Unsurprisingly, Tegoshi’s “problem” was that he stands out too much even when he doesn’t want to and no matter how much he tries to be discreet people notice him. Because according to him he just has that aura~ What an asshole.

The first scientist guy told him “scientifically, the aura isn’t proven to exist so that’s a mistake.” He did say, however, that there are electromagnetic fields which are different in people. Tegoshi looked very interested. The guy didn’t give any advice though.

Then another guy asked Tegoshi when exactly he gets noticed and he said at once as he gets out of the car or whatever. The man said that people notice what they want to see. Tegoshi was then asked what colour is the hat he wears and he said black and the guys said “that’s why you get noticed.” He said that the contrast between the hat and the hair has that effect and he might consider having black hair. Tegoshi said he had black hair for a month for a film and at that time he hardly got recognized. Everyone was like “So much for your aura! Just get black hair” But Tegoshi said if he had black hair he’d just blend in with the rest but this way people can see him from afar even in Tokyo Dome. Besides, he’s had it for awhile so people have an image of him as a blond.

Another expert said that what was said earlier about people noticing what they want to see is wrong. That in reality it’s the other way around – people notice what wants to be noticed. So basically, if Tegoshi stands out it’s his own fault. (right on!) Matsuko Deluxe said “Out of all the people who were here in the last 3 years this person probably wants to stand out the most.” The first guy suggested that when he had black hair he was upset and that made him less noticeable so he should be more upset. Tegoshi was like “But I’m probably in the top 3 most positive people on Earth.” He then said that when NEWS have concerts and he messes up the choreography he’s so confident he might think the other 3 all messed up. He also said “I’m a pro at concealing my mistakes.”

Then the woman expert spoke up. She asked if he hates being pursued but he said he entered Johnny’s because he wanted to stand out. Tegoshi then said it’s a Japan problem, that when he goes abroad he feels very much at ease but in Japan people who want to stand out are frowned upon. He said even as he goes out with friends and just wants to have fun he would always get noticed and reproached and he doesn’t do anything obnoxious. But then one of the panelists was like “Are you sure you don’t have a short-term memory loss?” Tegoshi also mentioned how he would often be featured in internet gossip columns and he has no way to defend himself since he can’t really present his true version of events. The woman said that since he’s a very hard-working person who aims to be perfect in everything people tend to judge him very harshly and not forgive him the smallests of failures. Tegoshi then said that in the last 2-3 years he’s become even more positive and he likes to think that people who criticize him think about him and since they think about him they like him. ♥

Another woman panelist said that there’s another thing that surely gives him away and that is his voice so to blend in he should change his voice like try to speak from his throat. He couldn’t quite get it but it was hilarious. Then, out of the blue the scientist guy asked “Have you ever thought you were God?” to which Tegoshi of course replied “I haven’t but I did say in a magazine that I want to become a god.” The man basically said that Tegoshi’s got something like a god syndrome in that he’s very self-centered and never thinks he’s wrong. But again he didn’t give any advice. One of the women suggested Tegoshi should hide his face line. She said even if you hide your eyes and mouth the face line makes you recognizable. She suggested applying sideburns or beard to hide it. Also hiding the neck. That’s what spies do apparently.

Then one more guy that hasn’t spoken before suggested something. He said some people who look like celebrities wear T-shits that say “I’m not …” so Tegoshi should wear a T-shirt saying “I’m not Tegoshi”. Right, that would work well after this show. They asked Tegoshi what he thinks of the idea but Tegoshi being Tegoshi said “To be honest, I don’t really get it…”

An absolute must-watch for all Tegoshi fans. Before watching this I thought I might get really annoyed with Tegoshi and might even need a time off but what actually happened was that I was reminded exactly why I love him.

I’ll watch it !! Now I remember Tegoshi chose psychology even if he didn’t graduate. I’m sure he was really interested by the experts’ opinion. I wonder if he ever discussed the subject with the other 3 ? Like “Do I stand out too much ?” and the other 3 being “Don’t worry you’re good the way you are” or something xD

The Hair color thing annoys me a bit xD He doesn’t like black hair, right ok. Then don’t complain being noticed when you’re blond xD Even in Tokyo blond hair is not the “common” choice lol

His personality is complex… He likes being noticed, being loved. And yet he can be really modest sometimes. He just knows what he is good at. He is an extrovert and yet he protects his private life so much (which is normal)

Thank you so much for each time you’re sharing with us ! I really appreciate it ❤

K-chan news 2015.01.06 where the boys share their cross-dressing experience, Shige tries to make Tegoshi admit he’s gay and Yamada Ryosuke just might get some of that.

It’s the first show of the year and the boys start by NY greetings and talk a bit about the single. Then they proceed to the messages and that’s where it all starts. Here’s a slightly shortened version of what happened.

Tegoshi makes a dumb joke and laughs at it.

S: I see Tegoshi is in top condition in 2015 as well.

K: Actually, we have a message that is exactly about that.

T: Why? Why?

K: “I listened to a radio show with Koyama-kun and Tegoshi-kun from 5 years ago. Tegoshi-kun was acting like we was a different person from who he is now so I was surprised. But now it’s fun so I like it. When did he do astray?”

T: I don’t know. When did it happen?

K: Now as we appear in TV shows as 4 (our image) is different.

S: Since we became 4… if I were to say it it started in Tegomass.

T: Really?

K: I see. But the Tegoshi in Tegomass and Tegoshi here is different, right?

T: Yes.

M: Since I don’t let him do this.

S: But as he began to do cross-dressing…

M: Right. The first time he did it was at a Tegomass concert.

S: Didn’t it start with cross-dressing?

K: Where did it come from?

T: Why did I do it?

K: Why do you want to do it?

T: But I like it.

M:  But, you know, our job is connected with pursuing beauty. So if a man takes it to the extreme he might end up crossdressing.

K: It’s like an ultimate goal.

M: So if we pay more and more attention to our looks we all will soon get there.

K: Really? So we’re approaching that point too?

M: We do.

S: I did it quite a bit for work and it really is nice.

T: It is.

K: Massu, have you seriously done it? Masuko?

M: Actually, the first time Tegoshi crossdressed at  concert I tried on the wig and I looked really ugly. (everyone laughs) There were many. I tried not the one Tegoshi wore, a black long one.

K: If it’s not cute there’s no point. I probably would fail too.

S: But what makes the face pretty the most is make-up, right?

(all giggle and come up with a few silly jokes)

K: So maybe sometime when we do a concert we all appear as women?

M: No, let’s cut it out!

K: Though the encore would take a long time.

S: Have you done it on Halloween?

Everyone: We did!

S: You did?

K: Haven’t you?

S: Just once.

K: Massu, what was it again?

M: Sorakara-chan. Sky Tree’s mascot. Masukara-chan. I had that yellow hat and blue&white dress.

SO CUTE! I want to see that!

K: So unexpectedly this person does it.

S: He has a bit of that desire. I also did that. I wore a costume of a character (he hums something but I’m not sure)

K: Penguin?

S: Yeah, penguin.

T: By the way, I crossdressed.

S: You did it! Whoa! In your private time! IN PRIVATE!

[Seriously, Shige, shut up, it’s not like you did it for work either]

T: I ordered my usual stylist to do an outfit for me. It unexpectedly takes much.

K: Money, you mean.

S: You know, you should just “come out” sometime. If you like men…

T: I don’t! It’s not like that!

K: At 9×4 you sort of…

T: It’s not like that. Really.

K: You go both ways?

T: No!

S: But you would do it with a really beautiful guy, right?

T: …

S: You thought about it! You did!

T: What do you mean by “do it”?

S: Let’s say a kiss.

T: Oh. So he’s reeeaaalllly beautiful?

K: Reeeaaalllly beautiful.

T: Not a crossdressing man?

K: No, a normal one.

T: Well, I might.

S: You might?)

K: But not like a guilty kiss.

S: Guilty kiss?

T: Well, for example if it’s…who should I say…?

K: If you take our agency you talked a lot about Yamada…

T: Ah, if it’s Yamada I would! Since he’s cute.

S: This is scary!

M: You can’t say “I’d kiss Yamada”…

S: Let’s end this.

K: (ignoring M&S) So if there was a BL drama you would…

T: Well, in terms of size Yamada…

S: In terms of SIZE? What is this? Height?

T: If Yamada would play the female part…

S: Let’s move on!

K: So BL…

S: The year just began and what are we talking about? Let’s talk about guys’ stuff.

A classic Shige thing – start a controversial topic and then bitch about them discussing dubious things. You started it, bastard! But what did he expect Tegoshi to say, really? That he’s gay? And kill his career? I don’t really get it. You kissed him too so shut up and go on with your experimenting stage. Ask him out or something. Sorry.

Anyway, after that they had another question. Basically, they had to say what kind of band they would like to be once they’re all over 30. At first they mostly talked about doing a dome tour. Tegoshi said he wanted to do variety shows. Then they expressed their desire to do more special events, like at Christmas and such.

At the very end Tegoshi suddenly shouted “NUMBERS CHALLENGE!” and there was a long “Peeep”. Which means he said some kind of classified number again. Then they played Kaguya~
