Shige on Nakamaru

On Koyama’s radio, Shige talked about the time he went out for a meal with Masuda, Nakamaru, Inoo, Chinen and Keito from HSJ. 
Shige: Masuda invited Nakamaru-kun first, then asked if I was going as well. We went for BBQ that day. Truth be told, the reason why Nakamaru picked up the tab was because he lost to Masuda and me when we decided who had to pay for it. Sorry for exposing the truth, Nakamaru-kun.
Shige: Nakamaru-kun is a serious person. And even though he’s older, I think he’s cute. He’s kinda peculiar (or unique) but yet approachable at the same time. I saw the Mt. Fuji drawing he drew, and it looked just like a picture! I like Nakamaru-kun very much and I know he’s a good friend of Massu. I’ve come to realize that spending time with Nakamaru-kun makes one feel relaxed.

I think we’re losing him

So January issue of Myojo made them think of imaginary situations with girls and everyone handled the issue with various levels of success. Massu is my precious cupcake but his was really good and made me want to date him for the first time in these 2 years. Bb will make a great boyfriend. Anyway, what I wanted to write about was Shige’s part. His topic was “books and girls” and he struggled through it but then he wrote this:

…I tried to forcibly make myself come up with a sweet situation involving a girl but actually I don’t have any longing for such things. I don’t think I even long to spend time together with a girl in the first place. I can have way more fun with guys without hesitation. Do I like men? (laugh) Though it would be nice if one day I could become a man who would want to see the Christmas lights with a girl.

I rest my case. There was also a very scandalous cross-talk but I think I’ll save that for later.

Now I really don’t like to disappoint people in their idols but I think even when admiring someone you have to be aware that they are only human and might also have their flaws and can also be wrong in some instances. But this post isn’t about that. I just wanted to make it better by… introducing Kato Shigeaki.

  • say he doesn’t want to either tie someone down or be tied down and prefers his partner to be their own person
  • talked about being attracted to a working girl with no make-up or hairdo
  • fully willing to cook and do any kind of chores
  • publicly supports same-sex marriage and brings attention to LGBT issues
  • writes strong complex female characters

That’s basically just off top of my head. I just felt we need to have a positive model as well to balance it off.

It’s been a week but still don’t have my fucks back, only posting the bare minimum while tons of pictures rest unsorted and unposted. Oh well.

I don’t listen to Rajira but I just found some interesting notes from it on Twitter. The best part was this:

Gori-san: Aren’t Johnnies not allowed to date?

Shige: If that were true we would all be fired.

The subtlety. Then Gori talked about himself when he was the age Shige debuted:

Gori-san: At that time all I did was follow girls’ asses.

Shige: I never had such a period.

Well, aren’t you sweet?
