sometimes i think about reks saying “captain…why?” as gabranth stabs him right in the gut and he falls to the floor, the life leaving him right after he witnessed the death of the king. something i think about how he was forcibly kept alive just enough to testify and i think about vaan getting flowers and visiting him in the hospital and then i think about how reks died marked as a traitor and kingslayer even though he was loyal to the last. something i think about reks and what he could have been if things had been different. i love my good son reks. i miss my good son reks. and if there was ever a character who deserved better? it’s reks.
The first month of 2015 will
soon be over in a flash. I wonder if
you’ve already heard our new song “KAGUYA” that was released in the new year?
It’s a fantasy song with Princess Kaguya’s story as a motif. Since it’s
also a love song, it’s a number that I would definitely like women to hear. I
think it’s really great that we could start off 2015 with a dash by releasing a
single in the new year. I hope we can continue at this pace and have four or
five releases this year!
Last year NEWS was filled with individual activities. It’s also good to
polish our skills through individual activities and have them reflected in the
group, but we’ve already been active as a group for over ten years. By this
kind of meaning, I think that if we don’t move as a group, no matter how much
we move individually we won’t grow as a group. We should do individual
activities as something extra only after properly doing group activities. All
of us agree that we want to treasure NEWS as a group, and those who only want
to do individual work are probably already gone from the group.
Anyway, in 2015 we want to do activities as NEWS with all of our strength.
