I’m often stalking Japanese Twitter and today there was this article from some site about NEWS’ name. It says that though originally it was meant to represent the 4 directions after NEWS became a 4-member band you can put the members’ special characteristics into the letters.

N = newscaster

E = entertainer

W = writer

S = smile ^^

Don’t know who came up with that but it’s amusing. Massu would be good with something like ‘fashionista’ but oh well. It’s still kinda legit.
